ENSURING THE BEST END RESULT
Late season birds make for the most quality mounts because they are more likely to have fully developed plumage. We highly recommend using birds harvested in late November-January for mounting.
FIELD CARE
◎Do not allow a dog to retrieve the bird
◎Keep in a cool dry place
◎Tuck in the wings and head
◎Wipe off any blood if possible
FREEZING
◎Keep wings, feet, and head tucked into the body
◎Place in airtight plastic bag such as a Ziploc
◎Remove as much as air as possible place in freezer until you are able to bring it to us
